Every guide on InjuryCompass includes a free interactive tool: calculators, checklists and quick checkers that help you understand your own situation, not just read about it in general terms. This page collects all of them in one place. Use the filters or the search box to find the right one, then open it inside its guide, where the tool is explained alongside the information you need to use its result well.

Open tool →How our tools work
Our tools are built from public, verifiable information: state statutes and court rules, federal regulations, and data from sources such as the Insurance Information Institute, NHTSA, the CDC and the National Practitioner Data Bank. Where a tool estimates a dollar figure, it uses the same methods insurance adjusters and lawyers commonly use as a starting point, such as the multiplier and per diem methods, and shows you how the number was reached. You can read more about our sources and review process on our How We Research page.
Everything runs in your browser. We don’t ask for your name or contact details, and nothing you type into a tool is saved or sent to us or anyone else. Close the page and your answers are gone.
What our tools can and can’t do
- They can help you understand the rules that apply to you, spot deadlines and weak points early, organize your evidence and questions, and see roughly how a claim is valued.
- They can’t predict what an insurer or jury will pay, account for every exception in your state’s law, or replace advice from a lawyer who has reviewed your documents.
- Laws change. We review our tools regularly and note the review date on each guide, but always confirm deadlines and rules with a lawyer licensed in your state.
Where to start
If you’ve just been in an accident, start with the after-the-crash checklist and check your filing deadline with the statute of limitations calculator. If you’re weighing an offer, the net settlement calculator shows what you’d actually keep. And if you’re thinking about hiring a lawyer, the consultation prep sheet and lawyer scorecard will help you make the most of free consultations.
All tools provide general information only, not legal, tax or medical advice. Results are estimates and illustrations, not predictions of any outcome.
